Create your first project
Updated
A project is one website: its chat assistant, its knowledge, its forms and, on plans with a website, its pages. The setup wizard walks you through it in five steps, and you can leave and come back at any point: refresh the page and it picks up where you were.
1. Website
In the dashboard, choose New project (in the sidebar, or in the account menu at the top right). Give the project a name and enter your website's domain, like example.com.
The domain matters: the chat widget only works on the domains a project allows, so visitors elsewhere can't use your assistant. You can add more domains later in the project's Settings.
2. Analysis
We open your home page and read it the way a visitor would. From it we pick your brand colours, your contact details and the pages worth knowing about. This usually takes under a minute.
If the analysis can't reach your site (it's offline, or blocks automated visits), choose Try again, or carry on and fill things in yourself.
3. Widget
The chat widget comes prefilled with your colours, a title and a welcome message. Change anything you like and watch the preview update. Add a contact email and a link to your privacy policy if you have one.
4. Knowledge
Your home page is already added as a source. The wizard suggests other pages from your site, such as services, prices or FAQs: tick the ones your assistant should read. You can also try the real chat on this step and see how it answers.
5. Review
Check the summary and finish. Your project opens in the dashboard, where every setting from the wizard can be changed again.
Next steps
- Add the chat widget to your website so visitors can use it.
- Teach your assistant more about your business.
