Publish and deploy your site
Updated
Your site goes live in two steps. You publish each page when it's ready, then deploy the site to put the published pages online. That way you can work on a page for days without visitors seeing half-finished changes.
Edit a page
Open your project, go to Site → Pages and open a page. The editor saves a draft as you work; nothing you do here reaches your live site yet. Use Preview to see the page as visitors will.
Publish it
When the page is ready, publish it from the editor. Publishing marks this version as the one to put online next time you deploy. Every publish also keeps a version you can go back to, from the editor's Versions.
The site's header and footer are published the same way, from their own editors under Pages.
Deploy the site
Go to Site → Deploys. Choose your home page the first time, then choose Deploy site (later, Deploy changes). It takes about a minute; the deploy shows in the list when it's done, along with your site's address.
Go back to an earlier deploy
Every deploy is kept. In Deploys, newest first, choose Put back online next to an earlier one and it replaces the live site straight away. Your pages and drafts aren't changed.
Take the site offline
Take offline removes the site from the internet until you deploy again or put it back online. Your pages stay in the dashboard.
