Improve your Website readiness score
Updated
Website readiness is a score out of 100 at the top of Chat → Knowledge. It checks your business profile against what search engines and AI assistants look for, because your website's pages, and their structured data, are built from that profile. The same profile also makes your chat assistant's answers better.
Each missing item is a gap, marked critical, high or medium, and highlighted on its section of the profile. Fix the critical ones first: they count the most.
The facts about your business
These are facts only you can give. Type them in, or add the page of your website that has them as a source.
- Name, category, contact details (critical and high): the business every title, schema and AI answer refers to.
- About (high): at least 120 characters. It becomes your meta description and the first paragraph AI engines quote.
- Tagline, area served, opening hours: what local search and "near me" questions need.
- Links to your profiles on LinkedIn, Wikipedia or Wikidata: they tell engines which business you are (
sameAsin the structured data). - A privacy policy: a trust page search engines and visitors expect.
Content that gets you quoted
These lists are what answer boxes and AI assistants draw on:
- FAQs (5 or more): questions with direct answers, the content answer engines quote most.
- Offerings, with descriptions: what you sell or do, each explained.
- Reasons to choose you (3 or more): what AI assistants repeat when they recommend a business.
- Processes: step-by-step answers to "how does it work?"
- Glossary terms and comparisons: definitions and balanced "this or that" answers.
- Topics (3 or more): what your site should be found for. They decide which pages a site built from your knowledge gets.
Proof you can be trusted
- People, with their credentials: named experts behind the content rank and get cited more than anonymous text.
- Testimonials (3 or more), case studies and statistics with their source: a number with a source is trusted and cited; one without is not.
Tips
- Most gaps are filled faster by adding the right page or document as a source than by typing: facts are picked up from your sources automatically.
- Don't pad lists to hit a number. Five real FAQs your customers ask beat ten invented ones.
- After big changes, redeploy your site so its pages and structured data catch up.
